Hiya all

OK, here is a new one.

I am looking for a decent cosmetic surgeon in Izmir or Istanbul.

To be honest, I want a boob job.....Breast Augmentation.

Keep the sarcy comments to a mimimum if possible, and those that think i am off my head....keep that crap to yourself also.

So basically, some websites would be great.

Thanks

I don't want to scare you unnecessarily, but the dependent of an American serviceman recently went downtown in Adana for some type of cosmetic surgery but I don't know exactly what. Also, I don't know what went wrong, but she DIED! I'm sure they have good doctors and hospitals here in Turkey, but be very careful in the ones you select.

Well I think that goes for anywhere. There are plenty of bad cosmetic surgery stories from the US. Lots of people die from lippo each year. Not to mention all the blotched boob jobs.

I would never get cosmetic surgery (any surgery actually) in Adana nor would I get it done in Flint Michigan. But I guess someone who would think that flint is a great place for nose jobs would think that Adana is ok too.

I personally would be terrified to get anything done here. Just getting my teeth re-bonded was scary enough!   I would go home if I were you. Especially since you don't have any solid recomendations.

Think it over, I know someone in Turkey who needed 3 separate surgeries to correct the initial minor imperfection. Note also that if surgery goes wrong, it cannot be redone for at least a year as that is how long it takes for healing process. There is lots of information on the net regarding rhinoplasty, including how the procedure is done, what can go wrong, etc...read up before you go under the knife.

Hi Kara_Kurtis i had a boob job here in Turkey and very pleased with the results but it took me a long time to pluck up the courage so if you really want to do it go for it but take time in finding the right doctor for you.

I too need a plastic surgeon who is good with breast contouring. In my case I need to have 25 year old implants removed, and possibly a breast lift (with minimal scarring) performed. If there are no good ones here, where would you suggest I go? I don't want to go back to the US...costs are prohibitive there. Bangkok? Brazil? Argentina? Spain? Africa? India?

Please... choose quality and reputation over money. I live in the U.S. and have had breast reconstruction. I can't imagine having it done anywhere else. I have heard very good results though from plastic surgeons in LIma, Peru.

As far as breast augmentation... do not get it done going under the arm. All of your lymph glands are there and many of them can be damaged.

Good luck...

Hello..

Cosmetic surgery means to have a surgical procedure for the purpose of improving your appearance. It is known as elective surgery, meaning that the patient chooses to have it although it is not essential.
Cosmetic surgery is different from plastic surgery, which is surgery to reconstruct or improve the appearance after injury or illness.

Choose from hospitals that have Joint Commission International accreditation. This ensures that they meet American standards of care. There are a lot of good plastic surgeons and a LOT of crap plastic surgeons. I can recommend one, but you must email me directly for his name. Research and references are key.

How long before breast augmentation surgery do I have to stop smoking? I am having breast augmentation surgery on 11/07/07. I have to go to my pre-op testing on Saturday and I am scared if I tell them I smoke they won't do the surgery. Obviously, there are some people who have this done that smoke, so how far in advance do I have to stop?

Hello.
If i were you I would go to Istanbul.
There you should look up these two doctors:
Dr Haluk Duman and Dr Murat Argat.

They are very very well known.

They have their own clinic. and do miracles.

In Denmark there is a company called Plastikkirugi rejser.
They arrange lots of operations for peopel in both Denmark,
Sweden, Norway and Germany.
they have a home page: http://plastikkirurgi-rejser.dk/
You can call them on the phone: (45 for Denmark) 26145493 and talk with
their consulent: Mr. Ahmet Ercoban he can give you advice. He speaks serveral languages.

You can see pictures of oprerations before/after here: http://plastikkirurgi-rejser.dk/index.php?option=com_expose&Itemid=8
It is a picture bank and a video bank. with no commercial or selling tactics. simply just pictures of their work.

Regards Walther.
