I'm living in Ankara for the next 6 months, because of my husband's job, and I'm interested in doing same volunteer work. I’m fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and intermediate in French and Mandarin (level 2). I’m starting my Turkish lessons, but I’m still very slow.
I already contacted same institutions, like Unicef, but they say I can’t volunteer ;(

If you know any organizations in Ankara, in need of a person to help, please tell me.
I just want to help!

I know it has been quite a long time but I just wanted to reply to this post. Maybe in the future someone may have the same inquiry and hopefully this post will help them out. They may accept as volunteer or paid, I don't know:

1.) www DOT ankara DOT cydd DOT org DOT tr
This not profit organization give out donations to students from all over Turkey. Their main purpose is to increase the education level of the country (especially the girls). I don't know if they have any kind of lectures or if they need teachers but you may try to contact them. I am not sure if you may find an English speeking person on the phone but you may try to visit them at their place. (web page is in Turkish)

2.) www DOT nesinvakfi DOT org
This is also a non-profit education focused organization. The organization is named after Aziz Nesin who was a writer and passed away. They also give out donations to students but they also organize a summer camp every year at Sirince (close to Izmir). A prospect teacher may get in touch with them to see if he or she can be a part of it. Worth to try. The camp called "Nesin Math Village".

3.) Municipals: Cankaya Municipal TODAM. They language courses. You may try to get a place in mid-level classes. You will need to search for TODAM close to your house. Related news from newspaper:

4.) Halk Egitim Merkezi (Public Education Center) You may try to get a place in mid-level classes.
