I just moved to Istanbul and I broight my unlocked BlackBerry phone along with me. I know I would have to register my phone to be able to use my Turkish line. My question is, does the BlackBerry messenger service work in Turkey, and is there a monthly fee?
You have to register your phone first and after that with one of the cellular companies you can buy a sim and a mobile plan which includes talk minutes and internet usage. I think its about 15 dollars extra per week for the blackberry services. But if you are going to stay longer you can buy a regular plan instead of prepaid ones.....
Well it does but its almost available in every phone shops in those areas...and almost as cheap as 40 TL...and also i did not mention any store or place:)))
I will be staying in Turkey for about a year. If I register my cell phone that I brought with me from home when I moved here, will it only be working for a 3 months only?
Please note that I bought a Turkcell sim card with my foreign passport, so the line is in my name.
This is not related to your sim card ; this is related to registration of your mobile phone IMEI number here. There is 2 ways. You can register your phone at Turkcell offices by presenting your passport or you can go Kadikoy ; Yazicioglu ishanı than you can ask them to break IMEI or insert IMEI. (this is not legal)
otherwise you phonw eill not be work ith one month time not 3 months
