Hello, does anyone know if one can claim a Turkish pension provided they've paid into it? I've been reading some things online about how in order to claim a Turkish pension you must have been born Turkish. Is this correct? Or can, as a foreigner, claim a Turkish pension one reaching the correct age and making the correct payments?

Thanks

Yes you can:

To check on your status, visit your local PTT, ask for an e-devlet number, give them your Yabanci TC Kimlik number and pay TL3. Log onto e-devlet and check your pension status etc.

Interesting. If I read this correct, US citizens do NOT qualify for a Turkish pension? What is the retirement age? Also, is it a cumulative tax/payment? What I am getting at is.....my wife is Turkish and worked in Turkey before we got married. Can she still get a pension from what she has paid or......?
