I recently opened an account in TEB bank both in USD & TRY.

I am in South Africa now and need to send some money from South African bank FNB to TEB.
I tried it online and TRY was not available currency, the question is

Has anyone tranferred local currency (not TRY) to TEB TRY account?
Would there be additional charges?

I am not sure if I should send USD to TEB USD account? Is there any benefit inbetween TEB USD and TRY accounts? discount on charges??

In other ways, I can exchange into Euro and take cash with me. but still I need to pay double exchange charges Rand to Euro to TRY..

Would there be any suggestion on the most efficient way??

the best way is to open 2 accounts. One in Rand and the other in Turkish Lira. You can also open i dollar or euro account depending on what you will need here.
There is a money transfer fee between your bank in SA and here in Turkey. It should be approximately 110 Lira for each transaction.
