Posted this with topic Cesme but had no replies, hope this topic will.

Len

Hi,

We are hoping to relocate to Turkey (Dalyan) from Spain in July/ Aug this year. We will be coming into Cesme from Brindisi and bringing our 2 dogs and 2 cats, also some personal items ie Dvds, cds, books, some garden tools, Lcd tv, computer etc

Has anyone come in this way and if so what sort of problems did they have with coustoms there. Does anyone have any names of import agents in Cesme, they can give me

I would be grateful for any advice I can get.

Thanks,

Len

Haven't got that info at the moment but will try to get some for you.

When you say you are going to live in Dalyan, is that Dalyan down south or Dalyan Koy, Cesme?

Hi Lynn,

It is Dalyan near Dalaman. Did you come in that way or do you know someone that did?? if you have any info, it would be great to receive. At least would give us some idea of what to expect.

Thanks,

Len

remember, one pet per passport. if 2 of you traveling then only 2 pets can come in. Also remember that you have to take the car back out of Turkey and you cannot keep it here.

Hi Starman,

Re 1 pet per passport, does that not apply when flying in with your pets and a airline rule??

As here on the web site, under health regulations for pet entry it says

Note: If you have an official certificate, you may bring one cat, one bird, one dog and 10 aquarium fish into the country.

And if only allowed 1 pet per person, would it be possible for freinds to meet us at Cesme port and get 2 of the pets in on their passport, or is that out of the question??

Thanks,

Len

It states one dog or one cat or one bird or 10 fish. People meeting you at the port cant bring them in. They would need to be traveling in from abroad themselves with a passport.

The above was copied and pasted from this site, and there are no, or cat or dog as you say. Maybe that is would it should say, but it clearly does not

I have mailed the Turkish consulate in London, and will see what they say.
