Yoga is a way of life, an art of righteous living or an integrated system for the benefit of the body, mind and inner spirit. This art originated, was perfected and practiced in India thousands of years ago. The references to yoga are available in 'Upanishads' and 'Puranas' composed by Indian Aryans in the later Vedic and post- Vedic period. The main credit for systematizing yoga goes to Patanjali who wrote 'Yoga Sutra', two thousand Years ago. He described the principles of the full eight fold yogic discipline. He composed the treatise in brief code words known as 'Sutras'. 'Yoga Sutra' is
the most important basic text on Yoga. http://www.sivanandabahamas.org/yoga-retreat.htm] It is through this basic treatise that the essential message of yoga spread throughout the world.

It is such a nice and interesting stuff. Definitely I agree that Yoga is the best activity for any field. Due to the Yoga person can constantly concentrate to their work and fresh towards their work in whole day. I am also glad to know that due to the yoga it is beneficial for the sports to increase the spirit and self confidence.

Once I read a book wrıtten by a buddhıst nun - she wrote the aım of lıfe ıs understandıng who you are. At that tıme I could not understand what she meant - as of course I knew who I was !

But yoga teaches not to mıx your thoughts, your Ego and your True you :P It ıs more self understandıng than fıtness....
