I have a question about termination of my blue MA plate. What is the procedure of termination the registration?
I am bulgarian citizen with work permit in Turkey. I registered my car in 2008 and prolonged the registration once. On 05.11.2011 my work permit expired and was prolonged on 14.01.2011 but i did not succeed at that time to prolong the registration of my car.
Now I am leaving Turkey and I want to terminate the registration of my car.
On 18.02.2011 I went to the police in Mecidie Koy and ask them what is the procedure. They said that I should leave the turkish plates there and complete some forms. All was done by me and I received termination letter from the police (I want to add that I have my bulgarian plates with me and I am using them at the moment). After that we went to the custom office in Yesil Koy and there all began. No body could explain me what is the procedure. They gave me two documents signed only by me and told me this is enough. I ask them what about my Teminat. They said you will receive a letter at the border and after you kome back to Istanbul you will receive your teminat.
On 19.02.2011 I left Istanbul and headed to Turkish Bulgaian border.
At the boarder the custom officer told me that the procedure is not completed and I should return to Istanbul. At the border was not possible to isert my bulgaian number in the system. Customs officer told me that I have to go back to the custom office at Yesil Koy and complete the procedure.
If anybody is familiar with this procedure please help me. Thank you for your answers in advance.
