Playing Basketball in Istanbul

Hello!

I have just moved to Istanbul and am looking deperately for a gym to play basketball. Do you know of any open gyms or other possibilities where I could play some games???

Any suggestions, ideas would be most welcome!

generally we don't need any gym for playing basketboll.

in beþiktaþ there are some places for it,

like a school (Sabancý) yard in Barbaros Avenue or in Serencebey park..

in sundays i suggest Yýldýz Technical university.

How do I get into the university? DO I need to be a student there?

Also, does anyone else have other suggestions for playing basketball? Anyone wants to play ball in Istanbul?

if you live on european side you can easily sneak in ITU campus ( it is in Maslak) gym. noone asks for a student id and its always empty. best time to do it*after 6 pm.

yildiz tech. univ is the best place to play. i am student at ytu and if you want to play together i will be there it is in besiktas. very close to conrad hotel. my email is galatasarayli34@yahoo,com

Sharing:

1. Weekend - Cadde Bostan / Migros Store; near Bagdat Caddesi, there are several outdoor basketball courts.

2. Weekday - personally playing basketball every Wed with my colleagues (around 8 ppls now) in Sisli / Mecidiyekoy.

there is another one near bagdat street sea side at the goztepe park , at nights 10YTL for lightening, good floor, open air..nice for summer night
