Hi everyone,
What are the homeschooling options for kids with dual citizenship, in our case UK/Turkey?
I know homeschooling is illegal for Turkish citizens, but I am sure that there is a way when you have dual citizenship. Would appreciate if you share your homeschooling experiences good and bad :)
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
We are also interested in homeschooling my son's 13-year-old daughter. I found a highly recommended distance school, Oak Meadow, in the USA, which is accredited. My family went to the states but will be back in Izmir in a month. He would like us to continue to home school her, so we also need to know about the Turkish laws on this for foreigners, i.e., not Turkish citizens. I'll let you know if I find out anything in this regard.
Good luck! Grete Roland, PhD

Hi,
Thank you. Lets keep this topict flowing, I am sure there are a lot of expats in Turkey who are homeschooling due to various reasons.
I did find, as well online UK accredited secondary school http://www.interhigh.co.uk which looks good and I definitely will consider them in several years. At the moment we need primary staff. In my search I did come up with suggestions to cover up your homeschooling as a private lessons set up, but would be good to hear from someone who actually have done something like in practice :)

Peace to all!

Hello everyone,

I am in a similar situation and would like any advice on how to continue Primary education once we move from London to Istanbul this summer. My daughter is 8 and doesn't speak Turkish.

Would love to get to know families who face the same issues.

Thank you,
Dina
