Hi there,
I have been scanning the forums for this, but only found much other useful info.
I have imported a car to Turkey, now on MA plates. in the same time we have kept our Dutch plates (plus tax, MOT, insurance) current because it will take forever to get my limited issue parking license back if I loose the Dutch registration.
Here are the questions:
1. is it legal to Turkish law to keep the original Dutch plates? 2. if not do they care at all? 3. when changing plates before driving into Greece, how to go about it? 4. can one cross borders and enter EU on MA plates? The carnet says it is only for Turkish official use. 5 is changing plates at the border a normal thing to do? I always feel I am doing something that can land me into trouble, not knowing the legalities.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Greetings,
Frits
