Hi everybody and a happy new year! I am a Greek girl and I am considering to move in Istanbul. My boyfriend is Turk and we have plans to get married soon. I have a BA and Msc but right now I am working as a secretary (full-time) and as an english teacher (part-time). I have heard that there is a great demand in english teachers in Istanbul, but mostly native-speakers. Do you think that I have chances to find a job considering my rich educational and working background, if I prove my fluency in English? I already started extra classes that will qualify me as an english teacher globally. Also I am learning turkish for 6 months now. Plus I would like to find some sources regarding the greek minority in Istanbul because i have great difficulty spotting them in internet. Every advice would be appreciated! Thank you so much!

Well, I'm new here and I'm writing as I will be soon joining my husband in Istanbul. He has got a job there and I'm currently living in UK. I'm from slovakia and speak slovak, hungarian and czech. So if some of you already live there I would appreciate if we could get in touch. I'm working as property manager in London and wonder if I would be able to find a job there as I heard is not easy.
Also, if you could tell me about life in Istanbul. There is EU and AS site, I'm write? Is there any different?
Also, how much can be rent for one bed, utilities, ect.
My husband is Turkish so for him is easy to relocate but for me it is exiting and challenging
