Hello Friends,
I'm considering moving from the US to Izmir and would like to connect with American Ex-Pats who can help me with the transition. Along with this, my fiance' and I would like to open a small Cafe somewhere in Izmir. So, the kind of information I need for this business venture is ideas of where would be the best area to locate the business along with our residence. We would like to rent a building in which we can live upstairs and open the Cafe on the first floor.
We are welcoming any and all advice please.
Thank you,
Daria and Ozan

Daria, maybe NOW is a good time to get in touch. My daughter has been in Turkey for 10 years. After a few years in Istanbul, she moved closer to me before moving to Izmir. She is very happy there and knows many foreigners in the area and has lots of good Turkish friends as well. She can help you. Email me and we can exchange other information. [email protected]

hope to hear from you.

Hello Arlene,
I agree... let's get together cyberly :D I'll email soon. There is a lot on my plate right now and I don't want to rush through my email to you. Thank you for the invitation. I'm so excited about all of this, and a tad nervous, too. You are offering me a cozy blanket to wrap myself in far from home.
Regards,
Daria

hi again.
when you're ready, email me...i rarely look at this forum (once a week maybe)
so email is best. i've been in Turkey since 1990 so I might be able to assist.
My daughter is the Izmir expert though! I am a villager now...far from the maddening crowds!! Here if you need me. Take care.
