Hi everyone,

I'm a Turk who grew up in Melbourne. I've been here for 2 months, got my military service out the way and now I'm starting to look for job.

One thing I have found out is that there is no yellowpages here, which makes things a bit hard. Anyway, how does one find design firms within Izmir?

I'm a 3d modeller/graphic artist.

Ps. yes I know most of the jobs are in Istanbul but I'll try my luck here first.

Thanks for the help,

Kuzey

Here are some of the characters I made in the past. I also completed a 15 sec ad before coming here, in which a packet of crackers at a supermarket comes to life and dances around etc.

Take care,

Kuzey

Hello Kuzey

how are you?

Himmm well there should be yellow pages ... I am surprised to hear that you coulnt find ...

In turkish its called sari sayfalar

I would suggest to do a google search for "izmir sari sayfa"

, "izmir grafik"

In izmir the only 3D company that I know is ACI

and I dont know how the demand is at the moment in Turkey but definetly its not like CA, AU or USA

the jobs should be less

I do 3D as a hobby I like to improve thou (i am a self thaught person)...

your attachments I coulndt see them... my web address: www,AtilganSesen, com

looking forward to hear from you

Take care for now

Hi AtilganSesen,

Sorry about the images, my ISP was updated and all the old links were broken. And there seems to be no edit button here so I'll just repost the images

I'm self-taught also, started with bryce 2 along time ago and now use lightwave. Thanks for the tip, should make things easier.

You have a cool site btw!

Take care,

Kuzey

I loved your clown ... really nice ... So you used a toon shader? (at leats that is what it is called in MAYA)

I started with 3D Studio Max and now I am using only MAYA ...

I remember ...

you might wanna take a look at

www,Tr3D,com

its a forum like www,CGTalk, com with Turkish 3D artists

there is a job section as well (I dont know if you speak Turkish -the forum is in Turkish-)

Also I would suggest to subscribe to a mailing group like

Dexigner ... there are always some job postings there

My MSN: [email protected],com

Yahoo Messenger: [email protected],com

Good luck with everything...

And take care for now

PS: Please forgive me guys I have no intention of spamming or advertising sites I gave the links only to help

I can speak Turkish but not read or write, which will cause some problems but I'll give it a try.

You know, I haven't traveled around Oz as much as I should have...I've been to Sydney once. The only time I saw snow was in Prague last year...funny that.

March/April??

Are you going to do your military service by chance?

I did mine last April, it's a good time to do it. With all the army gear you have to wear, it's better if the weather is on the cool side.
